Marriage Enrichment: Into Me You See

Into Me You See is a Marriage Enrichment Workshop has been written from the perspective of dynamics heard in the counselling room. The goal is to empower couples with tools for catching triggering cycles before they become destructive. This is a non-threatening, safe space for couples to better understand themselves and each other. It consists of sessions where Madz Deyzel will cover the following:

• Session 1: Introduction
  • Heart wounds & the pain – anger cycle | Parenting styles and the home you grew up in | Childhood adaptations and what we bring into marriage
• Session 2:
  • Rejected vs neglected childhood needs and its impact | Above and below the surface conversation triggers | A biblical approach to conversation triggers
• Session 3:
  • The destructive relationship cycle | The constructive relationship cycle | Curiosity conversation | The power of appreciation
• Session 4:
  • Biblical insights | Differences between men and women | Desire vs expectations | Appreciation conversations
• Session 5:
  • Dying to self | A mind shift | Looking in the mirror | Biblical reflection assessment | Vision conversation exercise
